Default brake drum diameter

Just a quick question guys: what is the drum diameter for a MKII brake drum?(original dia.) I had mine turned and am not sure how much material they took off.

Does it really matter? You will not be driving 80 hard miles through the desert tomorrow. Unless it has been turned to ridiculously thin, the only real consideration should be in making sure the shoes are arced the same as the drums. It can be done by the installation of shims under the lining, or by the more common method of grinding the shoes to match.

Dave I started a similar thread a while ago matey, I had my drums machined and oversized woven linings fitted to my shoes (which work fantastic I might add)

Have a look as diameters were discussed.

Rob,I just figured that if I knew how much material was removed I would have a better idea how much shim I need.
