Peter Dunn is an Australian historian with an interesting website, mostly with aviation content, although with a bit of digging there are some fabulous images there such as this one:
![]() showing a F60L cab 12 C-28409 after a "mishap" which has torn the front axle off the vehicle. Note it's fitted with a tyre pump on the gearbox and still has it's splashguard under the radiator. One wonders what might have caused this crash... This truck was probably part of contract S/M 2126 or S/M 2127 According to the website the vehicle was part of the 2/12th Field Ambulance and the picture taken in Northern Australia.
