The stationary engine guys are probably more interested in this but any postage from New Zealand will probably be in excess of the value of the kit in the UK.
I would be interested in knowing the price. |

I hear what your saying Neil, its the same for me trying to source bits & bobs out GB...horrendous shipping charges!
I haven't a price in mind at all. In saying that I'm neither a profiteer nor an idiot....its all about placing the parts where they are wanted/needed. my preference is for swapping....ie; there is kit available in GB that could be purchased and posted to me for less than I could manage. always open to offers. happy dayze, Brent |

I will put your add on the stationary engine forum over here if you are happy.
There are probably less than 5 of the complete generators surviving in the UK but there are more of the engines which were used I believe to power army boats. The Magneto sets are probably worth more than the rest of the kit but a great pity to split when complete. |

Great image thanks Neil.
You are welcome to advertise elsewhere....... taking your advise on board I just advertised to the New Zealand 'small engine' fraternity as well. Noting again that these were made up from 4x ratted boxes so i'm unsure if they are , or either one is, complete. |

Now on the main Stationary Engine Forum in the UK but no replies as yet.
Generators is something most collectors and living history people ignore. During WW2 Generators would have been running constantly when most units were in the field. The most common types would be the 300 watt and the 1250 watt for Battery charging. Other common types would be the 110 volts models for lighting etc. They cost very little and I will probably end up scraping some of mine soon as there is such little interest. |

These nicely-boxed parts kits also show up as Canadian surplus so we must have had these generators too. My kits are dated 1940 and 1941... Brian

A nice example of a Petter for sale at the moment in the UK and interesting to see how long they stayed in service for, but worth a fraction of what the seller is asking.
Does anyone know what this version was used for. I was told for providing the power on bridging pontoons etc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Petter-8hp...4AAOSwOdpXzxn- |
