All,
My friend Pierre has an early Ford FGT Cab 12 project for sale. The chassis and drive train have been restored in the past and provides a sounds basis for the body which needs a lot of metal work as you can see. See below for some pictures and see more here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/qnyWeLUYXeL71dD98 Please contact Pierre via for more info at +31611387000 IMG_0465.jpg IMG_0466.jpgIMG_0462.jpg IMG_0461.jpg IMG_0458.jpg

This Quad use to belong to me back in the early ninety's, I found it outside an old garage in a village called Reeth in Swaledale ,North Yorkshire .
It had been the recovery vehicle for many years , I restored the chassis and fitted a V8 as it came with a P6 ,when I sold it on it was a runner. I dug up a set of four WD Canadian tyres in another scrap yard and those are the tyres you see in the pictures above ! Rob...................rnixartillery. |

Hi Rob,
Yes, I recall you telling me about your two FGT projects. They sat with a collector local to me, before they were passed on to Pierre. He sold the unrestored one to a collector in Zeeland last week. If you have any pics dating back to when you had them, it would be a nice addition to this thread.

That's good to hear, looks like quite a challenge body-wise. I see the new owner may be in need of a gearshift boot ;-)

I found a few pics so scanned them .
When I found the quad it had a Bedford MW front panel and grill grafted onto the front ,the winch had been cut out which I replaced . Another memorable thing was that the body was laid upside down in a field adjacent from the garage ,when I winched it back over there was a full set of Armalite glass underneath all undamaged.
