I don't think so as it doesn't look like the control is on the wiper motor itself.

Hi Mariano,
Here is an original wiper motor as removed from an Australian assembled Ford CMP. As we know different countries did things differently when it came to local production of these vehicles but this is what was done in Australia. Note the different mounting bracket attached to the motor compared to yours. It has a lever behind the windscreen to allow manual operation. Even if not a universal fitment it is still an interesting mounting. Cheers,

Look again, the complete part number is C01Q-17508, not just 17508.
Every single Ford wiper motor has the part number 17508, even to today (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/11337489...frcectupt=true) The complete part number is required to ID the part. |

And to follow on from Tony's post. Any suffix is every bit as important as the suffix denotes changes or improvements.
As it happens my CMP wiper motord do not have a suffix. (There may be on later made ones) I have two units in un opened boxes.. The designation is: LV7 FD Ford Canada Part No. C01Q 17505 MOTOR ASSY- WIND- SHIELD WIPER SPACER & NUT. Quantity 1. So Tony, Are my wiper motors to suit an 11 or 12 cab? 1940 made? Will they have a hand operating lever?

Lynn,
Just jumping in here: From 1940-1941 Army Parts Catalogue: *C01Q 17508 Motor-windshield wiper- R.H. *C01Q 17509 Motor-windshield wiper- L.H. From my 1943 F15-A Spare Parts List: *C01Q 17504 windscreen wiper assy. R.H. (incl. spacer and nut) *C01Q 17505 windscreen wiper assy. L.H. (incl. spacer and nut) There was also motors listed in the 1943 List with C29Q prefix and "B" suffix. "2" signifying the date of release of the part 1942. Additionally the earlier released motors, "0"-1940, are listed in the 1943 List. *C01Q 17508 Motor-windshield wiper- R.H. When stock depleted supply C01Q 17504 *C01Q 17509 Motor-windshield wiper- L.H. When stock depleted supply C01Q 17505 So based on that I would conclude *C01Q 17505 is a later model wiper motor, Cab 13. "Spacer and nut" could be the manual arm bracket as its shaft has the nut on it. The wiper motor has only 4 slots in its drive to engage the shaft in the "spacer". Where is Superman with x-ray vision when we need him! Cheers,

Thank you all for your collaboration providing excellent information.
I think these would be the correct factory installed ones. What do you think about? Quote:
