Question 235 timing ?

Am about to fire up the 235 motor in my restoration at last but before I do I have a question.
I have replaced the old HT wires along with new spark plugs condensor and points plus a new coil and have set timing as per the 1955 shop manual. Now it occurs to me that because the bellhousing is different IE being for right hand drive this will mess up my attempt to get the timing correct ?
Should I just try to start the beast and the rotate the dizzy untill it runs nicely ?
Any help much appreciated.

RR.
