HELP Yappy Yap again

Karman (AKA Yappy) has some major problems with her PC (dead HDD) which means she can't yap to us except on the library PC...

So the appeal is if anyone in her vicinity has an old PC which could be sent to her then we can all enjoy her frequent yap sessions again.

Ma has few opportunities for happiness and freedom from her cronic aches and pains ,her life of abject poverty and a handfull of lousey cards dealt from the bottom of the deck of fate...and her coffee,ciggies,and computer can give her the freedom and happiness that we all take for granted and enjoy ....
I know Carmen personally and know if the shoe was on the other foot , Carman would be the first to jump in with support ..
So lets support Carman and get her back on line..Count me in for financial donations for a "Carman Computer" fund ,if someone in the BC area will spear head the project..Unfortunately I'm 3000 KM away..
Even if it is to get her computer fixed...but new ones are cheap and fast and better than fixed..

You guys are all crazy and I love you all dearly ... but hold the phone while I see what I can do on my end. I do have an old 20 gb harddrive someone gave me and if I can figure out how to install and set it up, I'm hoping that will work ... and I hope my monitor is fine, as that has been going as well. Please wish me luck here and I may be okay soon. Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, please guys and gals, do nothing at the moment okay. You're all embarrassing me (yet making my heart sing a little with how quickly you all jump in to help out other MLU-ers ... especially regards myself when the Oz thing was disrupted and is not resolved as yet.

Should anyone talk to Geoff directly please alert him my computer totally down and am accessing via library, and I haven't been able to deal with his correspondence for 3 days and he will be inundated if he doesn't checkin there soon.

For now, its library access, one hour per day for me, when the library is open.

Again ... I love you sorry lot ... and Tony ... I'll get you good one day soon ... wait for it

Just an FYI that I'm still offline/downed HD and don't know when I'll be able to rememdy this. In the meantime, I use my yahoo email if anyone needs to reach me, and some have my phone number.

Just catching up on old business -- as mentioned elsewhere, this situation has now been taken care of.

Oh, right ... I should have remembered to update folks that I have a new HD installed and am slowly sorting out the new installs and setups in it.

Thanks a lot Geoff, for jumping in and giving everyone the update!!!

And thanks to all of you for thinking about trying to get me going again.
