Ammunition Box ID Needed
Can anyone ID what this steel ammunition box was used for? It's been kicking around the garage for several years now and curiosity is finally getting to me.

Hi Ed
Looks like the coveted "Mortar Box" desired by all C&RV Lynx crews and specifically the observers. Fit tickety-boo beside the obs hatch on the left side of the roof. Handles were perfect for strapping down to the loops for the rad grill covers and the dvrs hatch stop. The lid and it's clips were quick and easy to use and flats of eggs, loaves of bread, a cherished jar of Cheez-whiz tucked within and the crew was good to go. Much prized box. ...or maybe it's not that! regards Darrell |
