Default Unusual Aussie International

while browsing the AWM over the past couple of nights I came across this photo of an Aussie International tractor unit and semi trailer.

Now I have seen Aussie Ford tractors with this military style roadster top open cab before having made a 1/35 scale model of one but I was unaware of any other makes being built with this type of body.

Default International K6

Hi Cliff, in the Vanderveen book I have it shows an Australian International K6 experimental half track with that style cab. One of three made.
Bob may have more information?

Default Thanks Tony

Yep, that's the picture in the book.

But, now that I look at the picture again it's a different style cab than the one Cliff has posted.
Oops. Sorry.

Now you know why I said it was a body style I had not seen on an International before

The body on the half track was a common one to Internationals of the day. The total of 3 made refers to the experimental halftracks of which there was a Chevrolet, a CMP C60S (Bob's project Phoenix) and the International.

Hi Cliff, just re-read the book again and I made a mistake. I think I pulled the number 3 from the fact it was called: truck, 3ton, 1/2 tracked, platform ( International K6 ) in the description. The text mentions that IHC used "several" in Australia.
Don't forget the Ford 218T experimental 1/2 track. That makes four.
