Default Stump the Chump

It's been a while since we have played at ID'ing mystery vehicles. The previous series seemed to have been enjoyed by many of the MLU members so in the spirit of mutual discovery I'd like to present "Stump the Chump". The format of this game will be slightly different from it's predecessor in that instead of presenting the entire picture I will initially crop the pic to show only a portion of the vehicle. If no correct guesses are made, I'll post increasingly larger pics until it's ID'd correctly. No money involved, but fame and glory awaits the winner.

First pic:

No, my friend. Not even close. An obtuse clue is in the forum I chose to present this vehicle.

Default Next picture for Stump the Chump

Dave is getting close, however, this has nothing to do with rockets.

Hi Derek,
it has to be a mobile gantry/crane, we are only seeing one of the four tractor units.

Default Sorry for the delay gentlemen...

Without further ado I'd like to present the:

MOBILE AIRSHIP MOORING MAST

It seems the US Navy had so many problems both docking airships to the masts as well as manoevering them in and out of their hangars that they decided to bring the mountain to Moses with a mobile mooring mast. Most mooring masts were fixed but there were some that were on wheeled dollies allowing them to be towed by a tractor (see the pic with the airship attempting a headstand) while some stations had mooring masts that were self-propelled for ease of docking and moving the airships.
