I have just discovered that the great guitarist jeff Heally died back in early march aged 41yrs
first saw him in Roadhouse, its very sad.
Well i hope him and SRV are playing music together where ever they are.

Ken..
We lost a national treasure when we lost Jeff..
For those that don't know..Jeff was born sighted and lost his eyesight as a baby and his unusual style of guitar playing was his trademark...he could play a guitar like nobodys business.
Here is a lick..

Oh, Kenny, don't they have Radio down there in Dunedin?

See, there was this band called the Beatles, right, and the only joker in that band that could REALLY play guitar was this bloke George Harrison. Anyhow, when they broke up, George went his own way and wrote some truly great songs, one of which was "While my guitar gently weeps".

Oh, and before you ask, the best thing to come out of the Eagles was Joe Walsh.

Default Actually....

George Harrison wrote "While my guitar gently weeps" while he was still with the Beatles. It appears on the "White Album"(1968). Furthermore, Eric Clapton actually plays the lead on that album recording as he and George were friends.

So, in a sense, you are both right and both wrong, the heat must be getting to guys down there...

You know the saying "if you remember the 60s,you wernt doing it right".
Yes Tony we have radio here, although it might be the wind up style!
it comes out of Auckland and i do not know why they missed the passing of Jeff Healey.
The local Dunedin station wont play the sort of music that JH made.
