Would those of you in Australia (or elsewhere) who have purchased and used MRF tyres, either on a farm implement or a military vehicle please provide feedback on the quality of the tyre. Although I'm especially interested in the 9.00 x 13 Sandgrip tyre, any feedback on their line of tyres will be appreciated. Advise whether you've driven with them on public roads and the conditions and speed at which they were used as well as their durability.
Thanks! Jim |

I've had MRF 16x6 bar treads on my '44 GPW for some years. My own experience is that I've done lots of miles onroad and quite a few offroad, and had absolutely no problem with them. I would be quite happy to put on another set once these wear out.

Jim,
I have described MRF tyres extensively in another thread. Suffice to say I have done over 6,000km mostly long distance high speed running in hot weather but with a number of periods at 12 psi in soft sand on my Dodge WC53 Carryall. The "tits" are still on the edges of the tread. MRF tyres grip the road when pushing hard around a sharp corner much better than the Goodyear and Firestones they replaced. They are discernably softer compound but still have superior wear characteristics. I will not be going back to American or European 900X16 both for cost and performance reasons. Lang |

I looked into MRF in Canada as we have an importer/distributor locally but none of the military style tires are available here due to the lack of a DOT rating.

A friend of mine has 900x20 MRFs on an ACCO he uses to cart grain and sheep. Been on maybe 10 years no problems at all.
