Default Doomed Leopard Tank

We tried hard to get a Leopard for our Museum but the Goverment thought otherwise. This one nearly made it!, saw it on my way home last night parked out the front of the Roadhouse, sorry for the poor photo's, only had my phone with me and it was getting dark. It has "Target" stencilled all over it so I presume it is going to the bombing Range at Lancelin. Tried to find the truckie to ask but he was either having a sleep or off down the pub. We did think of dragging it off and back up the road 1km to the Museum, it is camouflaged so they would probably never find it!!!!!

Default Target!

And to think of the lifetimes of scraped knuckles, bruised shins, vibrated eardrums and rattled backs that are now just "Target".

Yes, and in 50 years, if there is anything left, a future restorer will have all of that and the cost as they try to rebuild it and will be saying "why didnt someone try to save this before it was destroyed"!!!. Here's hoping those who will be shooting at it are bad shots!!

Default Goberment at its worst....

Would it not be a lot cheaper just to pour a concrete mockup of a Leopard on the range and paint it OD green..... after all they are not doing ballistic studies......

Out of all the tracking I've done not a single Aussie Leopard will go to public tender or to the scrap. They are all still in defence hands, either as a target, defence display, holding ground or "gifted" to the RSLs.
