Hi Mike,
Saw this a little way back, nice Champ pic there somewhere too. Rego is not in the British Military fashion, of the 12 made some saw trials with the BAOR (so thats Europe), one was trialled in the US, and there was talk of an additional two being made for trials in India (but I don't think that happened.) , all vehicles were returned to Woseley for evaluation. So it would be surprising if one made it here. BTW, only one left? Rich

Civilian rego, London County Council, February 1950. I think that this makes sense, as I believe that Austin Motors had offices in Paccdilly, London W1 and a showroom. A short distance away from Whitehall (War Office) and in fact Australia House down The Strand.

Sorry if you guys know this already...
There is certainly at least one survivor - I have sen it a couple of times at the Beltring War and Peace show in Kent, UK - last time I saw it was about 3 or 4 years ago when it was for sale, I think - but it was in good running order so it must be out there still. Sorry I didn't take a photo - but I do remember that someone had stuck an illuminated type badge on the nose from a Wolseley saloon car - but other than that it seemed all pretty tidy as I recall. Regards, Tom Portsmouth, UK
