Default Resignation

Our President Frank, resigned loudly from the OMVA after the last Show in Oshawa. He has his own reasons. Sadly we also lose Colleen who has worked hard as membership co-ordinator.

Two current members have been suggested for Vice President. I'd like both of them so we will create a new position for one . Syd is still Treasurer (for life). And Eric Booth is Editor.

Shortly there will be some changes put in place to cover Club operation and purchasing. These will show on MLU.

We have a show for the Fall if the members want it and it looks like Acton is the venue.

I'm open to suggestions.

Default Thanks Geoff

Maybe I'll need some luck. I'll explain later what the ruckus is.

Part of the mystery is that most everyone wants to be a "Hi pal...How are ya?"at the Show...but no one wants to help out or be on the Executive.
The Executive is NOT a time consuming job. I mean you have to get involved a bit, but I mean is three days a year too much??
My Army meetings take up over 40 days a year. The Museum takes about 60 days plus 2 hours a day on this stupid computer. And that is all unpaid.

Anyway I will let things calm down for a while.

Thats the norm for most car clubs Peter ... 3 or 4 people do all of the work and the rest sit back and reap the benefits - happens all the time , all over the world . Some members have to be cajoled into putting IN . Members are also very good at making suggestions , but when it comes to action.. they are nowhere to be seen .
