Were the Cab 12 FATs used by 16th Field Regiment RNZA in Korea Ford or Chev trucks?
I really can't tell from the murky photo I have and the AWM online photos are pretty dark as well. Nothing shows up on the ATl "Timeframes" website Thanks Aidrian |

From memory they were Fords.
I have some information at home somewhere, strangely enough I was looking for it on the weekend, that shows what vehicles we had at differing times of the Korean War. 10 Transport Company had Bedford QL's (I think provided by the English) as well as Dingo Scout Cars for convoy defense. 16 Field (The Artillery Guys) took V8's for all their trucks and Gun Tractors (including LP Rear engine Armoured cars) apart from one or possibly two little Bedford MW Water Carts that I have in a photo with the pre war (pre WWII that is) small windscreens and canvas doors, the photo is in a Koran Winter. I will see if I can find the info I was looking for. All the best Kev |
