Hi all - a mate needs the dimensions of the wooden rails that fit between the chassis rails and the body. I personally think it would have been the standard rail used on the C60S but it may have been modified or replaced to accomodate the No.6 body. If anyone has original C60S rails, those dimensions would be appreciated as a starting point.

Hey Bob, Happy to help but how about some pic of the project. I suspect the rails should be the same as the #9 GT.

Hi Euan - I don't have any images as this truck is in Qld. I also have suspicions about the dimensions, but I would like hard data.

So I take it nobody out there owns a C60S, or they don't have the wooden rails or can't be bothered. Given the multitude of highly technical data that abounds on this forum I would have thought this was a simple request.

Hi Bob Sorry I missed you first post. What dimensions do you need? As I understand it you need the width, thickness, and length of the shim. Cheers Phil

Not having ever seen one mounted on a chassis this is difficult. What I can tell you is the Ford No9 just has fibre packers at the mounting points, no wood rails at all. But because the No6 wasn't an integrated body it may well have used them. Don't have immediate access to pics but I think it's worth looking to see whether the top of the cab door and crew doors line up (as they do on the No8 and 9 tractors. That may give you the clue.
