Geoff Bottoms and myself went on a wee road trip yesterday to have a look at a chev....I know, I know, what is someone from Ford Country doing looking at a chev? So for you Bow Tie guys, here is a shot of a superb truck...yes I said Superb. There is so very little to do to this vehicle that it is incredible.
Of particular note is the fact that we saw this vehicle yesterday which was Aug 8 2009....if you look at the data plate ...WOW destiny, convergence of the planets, Schicksal, unbelieveable coincidence....mmmmm see Data Plate....65 years ago.....WoW. cheers Mike Timoshyk I will post more pics of C15 later.... Pfoeh......Awful truck....don't buy it....terrible condition
![]() No serious, seems like a great truck. It looks like someone has just removed the wireless set, that's all. Are you suggesting the truck has never been restored? It must have been resprayed at one time, I guess? Pity about the tires though. Alex

That is a spectacular find? Buy it NOW! That one was built 17 days after mine and I've decided my box is to far gone to restore and I'm planning a whole different aproach to duplocating it. That could go in a museum as is, tires? that is about the easiest thing to fix. Where is this again?

I agree that it looks like a wonderful truck. Several of the replies have assumed it was a "viewing for sale" situation. The owner obviously cares enough to shelter it, Mike has never actually said it was for sale, it could be very much in a collector's posession. If it is for sale, I agree it should be taken up by someone who'll work on it. That said, if it's for sale, what's the asking price? How does the owner want to be contacted? All else being suitable, the line forms behind me.
To all of the people who are looking at the tires and thinking they are not period correct - look at it this way, there are no sources of tires that are a true match for size, tread pattern, maker's marks and load capacity. The tires on it are a military pattern tire that should be of adequate capacity, they are not the NDCC tires that people feel have dangerous behavior on wet or icy pavement |

Awesome find! I am amazed at what is still being found so long after I think that everything is gone....
The tires look like the ones that are on mine, Michelin X surplus LSVW tires, but if I were a guessing man, which I am not very good at... I would say that the spare is an original WW2 tire, as the Michelin's won't fit in the hole as the tread is too high, even with a worn down one. Any way my 2 cents.. for what its worth! Congratulations to whom ever this vehicle becomes! Craig Tanner |
