Default Fuel Tank Brackets

First post on the new set up, so here goes.
Was in the process of fitting left hand fuel tank brackets to my C60S, when I ran into a snag. While everything bolted on OK, I found that the tank was too small, or the brackets are too big!
They look as though they are for a tank 12 x 12 (inch) instead of the 12 x 10. Also noticeable was the pressed depressions at the back, below the chassis rail. This appears to line up with where the winch cable runs. So the question is, what are they off? I notice in my trusty MB-C1 that the Gun Tractor has a larger fuel capacity. Is this what they are off??
Confused, help appreciated.
Cheers

Default Hello

Hello Richard ,

I think I met you at Corowa , about 3 - 4 years ago . Sorry , cannot be of assistance re: those fuel tank brackets . Maybe someone else will help . A warning though , most of the CMP nuts on this forum suffer from CMP induced brain scatter . It 's a long term debilitating disease . Non - curable .

Default brackets

They sound like guntractor brackets. The cutouts at the rear are the giveaway. The Guntractor bracket is longerand taller with an extra piece welded on which doubles as the side step mounting.

Default Other option

Could also come from a C60X. The only other (unlikely) option is the F60T which also used the 21 gall tanks.

Default Tank size......

From experience the tank brackets from the C60 is larger than my C15..... but I have no C60 tank to compare with just the brackets.

It would seem that the C60 is wider and taller than the C15........

...am I right guys????

Thanks for the replies. Take it as read that they are indeed off a Gun Tractor, and as such they have found a new home.
Yes Mike, you did run into me at Corowa year or two back, be there again this year naturally.
Cheers
