Captured Artillery Observation Scout Carrier
Carriers are not my speciality so apologies if I've mis-identified.
This photo is on eBay Germany at the moment. The Arm of service serial '3' indicates a Field Regiment RA although I can't differentiate the red / blue division.

A very interesting photo, and quite acurately described.
It would be a Scout carrier, that has been modified to an Armoured O.P. role, at least from the telephone cable laying / recovery side of things. I am waiting to see what Nigel W. can tell us.
