Default Back on the road

Well after a month or so of spare time fixing and rebuilding this is where im at
a running, driving ,shifting, braking ,quiet m211.
repair list
-rebuild cyd head , 2 seized valves
-hone one cylinder, moisture seized piston
-rebuild carb
-change atf , engine filter and oil,
-clean mice out of air filter and muffler ---blew out my ex gaskets
-build muffler and stack pipe
-swather fuel tank and new in line fuel pump and filter
-rebuild master cyl, and clean up booster, bleed brakes
-clean up horn button , lube up wipers-- work great now !

I was very happy the tranny worked great after getting her to run ,seems to shift in the right spots up and down. the rebuild tag on the tranny says "modified" so im guessing its got some upgrades .

now for some sand blasting and paint stay tuned,, its been a steep learning curve ,,,love it .

Default blow the dust off

I was rearanging the shed today before the snow flies so Rowan my youngest and I went for a run down the road . Kids sure love army trucks , and hes growing into that helmet.
I rounded up all my jerry cans and ammo boxes also up to 10 cans and 6 boxes , and thats just over a years worth so in ten years that trucks going to be full.

Not only are you having fun yourself and doing something you enjoy but you are building memories with your kids that are lasting. My kids used to ride in my old Ferret and the youngest is 23 now and still talks about it.

She even came to Tobyhanna to the MVPA show in the late 90s and had a blast from my hobby with the kids and wives of other enthusiasts. They even started the Canadian national womens Hoola hoop team. . . You will have to ask Eric Booth's wife Nancy about that. Wonderful memories all associated with the hobby.

That pic of the driver's side of the cab interior evoked many memories for me.

Nitpicking here...that bridge classification sign: shouldn't it be at least a 5?

The deuce and a half designation represents the axle weight...2 x 2.5=5, no?
