Default MG Armament question

Has anyone heard of either:

a Browning M2 .50 cal mg or
a Vickers (Maxim) .30 cal mg

being mounted on a UC?

I have plans for a full scale model of both and was thinking it would be cool to mount them. It would be even better if it was accurate.

Default Bren MG

A freind of Mine Sgt fred West Of the Westminter (Moter) Regiment .5th can armrd corps.
said in Italy .The Strathconas were getting rid of the .50s to switch to.30 so that the Tanks could defend against Infantry. so he asked if he could have the .50s He then had them mounted on the Carriers for the time they were in Italy.
They were mounted on the front armour but He could not remember what mount but had commented that they bolted right on
Regards
Jeff

Default Like this?

Here is a picture of the M2 that is mounted on my T-16. U/C would be similar using the 30/50 cradle and pintle from a halftrack or wrecked tank.

While I was on my tour in Afghanistan a infantry company had a strong point that could not be reached other then on foot. A John Deere Gator was employed to move supplies up to the Strong point. With it being a high traffic area it was attacked regularly, someone got the bright idea to mount our C6 MG to the gator for fire support.

Needless to say if someone thinks having extra fire power on a vehicle, they are sure to figure out how to mount it to that vehicle

Hi there!

A 50 cal will mount into the cross head off a Vickers MG tripod. Had fitted one to a Australian LP2A carrier for a display. So if they had a vickers mount fitted it could of be a way of retro fitting the 50 cal.
