Default Gen. Simonds' staff car

On behalf of a fellow Dutchman:

Can anyone identify the vehicle in this picture, please?

Can anyone decypher the unit signs?

It is one of General Simonds' staff cars, apparently.

Thanks in advance!

Hanno

But I believe the Formation sign on the right fender is that of the II CDN Corps. Here's a pic of the Formation sign. Not sure what the 17 is for on the left.

Hope this helps.

Derek. CHEEMO!
