At a casual glance, your tarp has four tie-downs each side - the M135 looks as if it has five. And I don't think the end panels don't buckle down in that way - but may be wrong.

If it isn't for a deuce, maybe it is for the largest two-wheel trailer (1 1/2 ton?)? How many arch support wear lines are on the inside?

Could be a M135 MRT (Mobile Repair Team). The truck would have a HIAB crane between the cab and cargo box which would be a shorter cargo box and tarp

The flap along the bottom edge is certainly like an old deuce. It was to allow the bows to be in a high or a low position. But as has already been mentioned, the deuce had separate end pieces to the tarp. Normal deuce box was 12 foot. Trailer boxes are 9 foot if I recall, so the tarp might be ea bit too big big for that. How wide is the tarp?
Another clue to the origins of the tarp would be the buckle style for the end flaps. Are they the double loop type buckle (Brit/cdn) or the clamp type buckles (post war US)? Were there adjustable bows on the 60cwts? |

I the roof area is about 8 foot in width, then it is not for the M104 trailers. Those boxes are considerably narrower (as anyone who has ever tried to back up a 2-1/2 ton with one on the back can attest to).
What style are the buckles? |
