Hi, Has anyone info, a picture would be best of the cooker tray wood and plate fixing arrangement to the fuel tank straps, I have borrowed an original tray and need to make the supports, also was there a piece of wood that sat in the tray under the cooker?.
thanks kevin.

Hi, Made three cooker trays, got a drawing from a member on here and borrowed the remains of a canadian tray. The feet i have confirmed are not 10 gauge as in the attached draw but 12g 2.5mm approx. I have also noted the batten with the cut out only has two screws holding it to the tray, the centre one was never there. Also the drawing indicates the four centred tray holes are drainage, this is incorrect as can be seen from the original four n08 1/2" round head screws were used to secure what i think is a 9" square 1/2" plywood. I am unable to determine if a drainage hole was positioned elsewere as the original is a little rusted out.
17 x 7/8" no8 countersunk. 4 x 1/2" no8 roundhead. Thanks to everyone who helped, kev.

Great info Kevin
So what are the thoughts on the purpose of the 9" square of plywood?

Hi Jordan, I am guessing but once you have finished cooking breakfast with the cooker it would be quite hot, The wood perhaps insulates it from the tray and the battens insulate the tray from the petrol tank............which you do not want to get hot. Dont know what the cut out is for thow?.
kev.

Ahh yes that would make some sense. As for the cutout, I presume you mean the one in the wooden slat. If so it's to clear the fuel tank vent lines.

Pretty much every tray on the carrier had a thin plywood sheet in it, likely as an anti-wear or anti squeak.

There is no drain hole, at least not in my one.
I have an original tray, the two bits of wood, and the steel plate that screws into the bottom of the wood, if anyone needs any info.

I will post pictures later. On your first photo, I think the buckle would be down the side. Then you would only have to thread the strap through the top two alli loops, as apposed to re threading the whole lot every time.
Just a guess.

Hi, Thanks Lynn, looks like I guessed correct with the hole saw I used to cut the recess corners, think it was a 25mm one, but I will check.
