Default Mystery shifter

Please have my unknowledge excused...but what is this shifter for on my C15A? (the one with the two holes) Its on the left side of the gearbox but not connected to anything. Its movable from rear to front.

That's a PTO, probably an add on. Power Take Off Unit. maybe to power a pump or snow blower or some sort of winch arrangement.

I know now my CMP has been a water truck. I presume this PTO has been for a pump or something as Harry said. The truck also has a PTO at the rear end of the transmission. Theres a tag on the lever for front wheel drive engaged or not saying something about not running pump when dry.

Does anyone have any further technical info on these water trucks? manuals or pictures?

Yes Ian. Same type!!

Mine is rebuildt as a C15A Steel GS.

I actually have fuel tank cover plates and rear mudguard brackets. I will probably not use them at all.
