Default Iltis questions

Does anyone have an 'official' listing of the differences between the German Army (VW-Audi) version and the Canadian (Bombardier) model?

Has anyone ever seen a GPMG (M1919Ax) mounted on a Canadian Iltis?

Thnx,
Clive

They talked about the C5A1 GPMG mount being developed for the militia recce when the Iltis was being implemented. I may have even seen a photo in one of the magazines or perhaps it was the EME journal. But I don't believe it ever came to fruition.

Seems to me they also talked about a ceremonial and vice regal version of the Iltis. Can't say that I ever saw one of them either...instead the old Willys soldiered on in this role, which in some cases it still does today. The Cdn3 ceremonial Jeep is called out to perform duties about twice a year here.
