| Chev FAT-1 remains

Remains of a cab 13 Chev gun tractor at scrappy in Smiths Falls Ontario - "remains" being the right word. Much missing but the interesting transition piece back of the cab that mates up to the rear body is there - and most of the winch. Also good data plates - see attached - on topic for the recent data base thread. If you cant read it is: FAT-1 C 60441-M-W 2844041379 PR3894904 LV 1517Mar 29 1943 I think usual arm and a leg asking plus embedded in other vehicles. |

| Gun Tractor Transition Piece

Rob Not sure if it's rubber - didn't think to check. I assumed it was metal and it looks like metal! When I pass that way again I'll check. Doubt the guy would let me strip any parts but could ask. I see the same piece on the Czech truck on adjacent thread - I'll ask him to check. |

| It's steel!

Rob That part is steel welded on to the cab structure. No way to separate it! Cheers David |
