Hi All
Veterans Day or Remembrance Day November 11th here in New Hampshire is something that our local MV Club taken part in for a number of years. We were first invited to give the Veterans something to talk about while gathering for the Ceremonies. The Annual November 11th Ceremonies have come to be a focal point for Commemorating New Hampshire's Veterans Service, with the Governor and our entire Congressional Delegation attending. It is wonderful to actually hear politicians speak without touching on politics, most of them get the point that this is an event that is not about them. The New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery was established in 1997 and is the resting place for some 5000+ Veterans already. A number that has been growing rapidly in the last few years with the passing of the WWII Veterans. Pictures below are of the 2014 first the crowed gathered then second is our vehicles this year. We are giving a display space between the Ceremonies, and the refreshments. This event also generally marks the end of the Military Vehicle Season with cold weather, just below freezing on the way to the event, and the winter snow with salted roads. Just walking the grounds and being part of the remembrance always leaves me with a lump in my throat. Cheers Phil
