Is DND responsible for distribution of Sherman tanks as monuments for Legions, museums etc in Canada ? Who is responsible for this ? Thank you.

Not sure the DND has any Shermans left to hand out. But it is DHH and DDSAL who handles the monument issues.

They do have M109s to give away these days, and were loaning M113s etc for monuments. They were also loaning out C1 howitzers, although it is my understanding that they have stopped doing those as they are being stripped to supply parts for the currently used C3.
