Default CMP on E-bay

Well here is the thread for CMP's and Commonwhealt vehicles on E-bay.
If anyone finds anything of interest, please put a link in here.
And perhaps we should make a notice if anone in our community wants to make a bid, so we do not bid against eachother.....

To me it looks like a F15 belonging to the Yorkshire's, but can not tell if it is wartime or post-war...

Rolf, since a while eBay generates URLs which result in a dead link if not logged on to their site....best remedy is to list the item number as you have done already.

H.

BRITISH SOLDIERS AND TRUCK #2 Item number: 6600005023
Quote:
Photographic postcard of a group of British or Canadian soldiers around their CMP Chevrolet. There is a list of names pencilled on the back and the date Feb 15th 1941. A good clear photo that has some creases on corners probably from mounts.

1944 VDC Parade & Bren Gun Carrier at St. Ives Item number: 6249273905
Quote:
For your WWII collection is this packet of 24 quality photographic negatives showing a Volunteer Defence Force parade at St. Ives Showground , 10th. December 1944 .

I have reversed some to give an idea of what a finished print would look like .

These are not 'snapshots '....they were taken by an experienced photographer....Alan Evans , a Sydney industrialist who had the time , access & money for the best locations & the best equipment . These negatives are cut film [ film pack back] & measure 10cm. X 8cm.

They have been reasonably well stored & are generally in good condition . You can 'photoshop' reverse & print them on your computer or have them professionaly printed ...they will enlarge to 10" X 8" without loss of image quality . They will photographicly print to a very high standard , appreciably better than as you view them here on your screen .

The photos have been privately taken & most likely have not been published .
