I came through Estevan, Sask yesterday and saw a semi with three HMMVVs on the trailer. They looked new and were painted in camo but there were no markings or insignia of any kind. My question would be "what were they doing in Canada? Did we get some or what?" I'll post some pix tomorrow.

Could be movie props as there is a supplier in BC that fields several variants for TV and movie production. Just a thought.

When I was in the reserves we used to go up against US forces for wargames in Dundurn, but that was 20 years ago.

Here's the pictures I took. These units are new with no markings so I doubt they'd be movie props. If the US military was bringing them up for training purposes they'd have the US markings on them.

Hardtops, with what looks like the bullet resistant side windows. Not the normal collector item, most seem to want convertible. Also I would think they , the ARMY, would want to keep the bullet proof panes of glass, maybe not. Any license plates? there should be gov of canada plates on if cdn. Also if they were freshly painted would the units paint their own markings on once issued from the depot? Weren't the canadians using hummers in Afganistan too? If so, Hummers that were small arms resistant may be in demand.

what you are looking at is the new up armored HUMMER. it not only has the uparmored doors, but if you look at the air intake on the pasangers side there is a extra plate of steel to keep out frag spall. also this is the type of hummer that comes with AC to keep the crew cool when buttoned up (vent on rear of vehicle). what are they doing in canada??? could they be going to alaska????
