hello i'm Rob and i live in the Netherlands.
I,m restoring a F15a 13 cab. I think it is a '45 model because the round roof hatch and bush guard mounted in front of the bumper. I didn't found any numbers yet. Although the Ford was complete and in good shape it looks like the former owner has chopped the backend of the frame. So the bit is missing from the last cross member This is the part were the pintle and leave spring go. My question is if somebody has got some info/measerements and pictures of this last section so i can reproduce this bit. greetings Rob |

As it happens, I happen to be merging 2 F15A chassis into 1
Distorted Chassis, but shows detail of pintle between the chassis. Alternate style with cast hanging pintle holder. Tidied up a bit.

1) From last cross member to end of chassis rail: 33,6 cm. 2) Hole in end of chassis rail: diameter 5 cm, placed 2 cm from the end of the and 4,5 cm from the top (outside) of the chassis rail. It lines up with the hole in the casting.

3) As can be seen in Tony's photos, you need to mirror the fish plate along the rivet line. It should tie in at 12,1 cm and 25,7 cm from the last cross member.
The late chassis with pintle spring in between chassis rails has two fish plates on top and bottom. My 1943 chassis is the earlier one with pintle spring below the chassis rails, these only have a fish plate on the bottom. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more measurements. Maurice lives near you, you might be able to do some detailed measurements yourself. Hanno
