C30 Office??
This appears to be a C30, and has an Office body I believe it has inside a bench type table and three chairs facing the front. I assume that the fuel tank on top is for the heater. Is this truck articized? The body is very similar in design to that of the W/T C30 and also the Slave Battery version but the latter did not have a tank on the roof!

aticized. You can tell because of the side windows is blended in the lower front part of them i.e. in front of the hatch to open the door- And of course if not the side windows have been replaced.
Is this picture a post-war picture? Henche to the front lights... The fuel tank in front of the body is for the heater. The tank on top of the roof I don't know abouth, and it also looks like a tank between the cab and body. My C30 W/T has the spare wheel placed there. Rolf

Office?
Rolf, the official photo I have shows the W/T truck does indeed have the spare wheel behind the cab. I wondered if this was an Office truck? There is also a photo of the truck with a tent erected at the rear.

it is an office truck. The tank behind the cab is of course for the ink...
 No, I can not imagine what it would need that tank for. And is it yet another fuel cans on the roof?? And the protective bows on the roof must be for some areial amount.. the lader on mine does not end like that. The body looks just like on my W/T exept this one is missing the window in the front of it. This one also seems to have som heavy bolts on the rear corner that might be for some equipment racks inside. And it is not for the Core House generators, because they are to be on the rear right side of the truck, and outside the vent covers will show. If it is arctiziesed it should come with an engine heater to hang on the frame under the engine. And normally it would have the gasoline from the main tanks on the vehicle. But then again, if it is supposed to be in very cold places for a loooong time, they might have equiped this one with extra tanks to keep warm and cosy inside, and also the engine warm. It would then also be equiped with a "coat" to wrap around the cab going down to the ground. It is a puzzle... Would be nice to see it with the pent house... Rolf

C30 Office
Looking at the headlights and blackout markers (which appear to be turn signals) I would suggest that this is a post war photo of a truck in service with a European army... as such it may have been heavily modified. The extra tanks could well have been for 'ink' if it was a photo reproduction or map printing van.
The heavy bolts on the rear corner are the snaps for the penthouse. It would be interesting to see some more shots of it. My 2 cents! Cheers, Mike

Revised photo
Check the new photo please. Note the canopy/tent at the rear. This is definitely a post-war shot, possibly in Sefton Park, Liverppol. I wonder it was a contract for an overseas government?

The frame and brush guard appear to be glossy black. A complete rebuild?
