Default What is it and where does it go?

Lance got this part in a box full of stuff for his Mk2. I can't find the part number to match int he manual. We think it is for the muzzle of the Boyes AT gun, but can't be sure. And we have no idea where it goes.

part number looks like C31UCW104876

Yes. The Boys rifle would dwarf that opening. There is another bracket between the gunner and driver, attached to the front armour, that supports the Bren I believe. I'm not actually not much of a mk2 man....always preferred the mk1, so if I'm worng others may feel free to correct me.

C31UCW 104376, assembly of parts with four wood screws, one bolt, lock washer and nut.
C31UCW 104375, bracket
C31UCW 104374, Socket, BREN gun support

FUC-03, pages 325.
When the fire extinguishers are mounted inside the gunner loop hole plate on the MK-II*, the former weapons bracket with associated butt holder on the floor for the MK-I* became redundant. The gunner right handgrip of the MK-II* has an extension fitted to injure your knee, or perhaps to hold the BREN in the transport position, with the muzzle in the wood C31UCW 104374 socket.

"Designed to injure"
Another example of "the enemy within" was it Michael R.?
Knowledge from experience, I assume?
