Well, well, well... This morning, Jon Skagfeld has just picked up his newly acquired C-15A. (6 more photos follow this one.)

At the rear of the vehicle, Sunray is telling Stewart Loy that he wishes it was his.

Jon is testing the driver's seat. Notice the big sh*t-eatin' grin.

After an awsome test drive, Jon was somewhat reluctant to get out of the cab for some reason.

"It's mine! All mine!" says Jon. (Notice that sh*t-eatin' grin again.)

Well, time to load 'er up on Stewart's trailer and take 'er home. The fit on the trailer was so snug, that we thought we'd have to grease the tire walls to slide it on.

Wonderful news and congratulations! I really like the photo with you in the cab - I bet that grin will stay there for a long time.
As for the truck, what a beauty - a late production version too. Must say though they look funny driven on the wrong side of the road though. Just a shame nobody was filming it, but at least there are stills. Thanks for posting them, Frank. Jon, what was going through your mind as you took the wheel for the first time?

Keith, I guess I could've turned the camera to video mode, but since it's a new toy (Fuji A330), I'm still playing with the settings. I should've taken my full-sized VHS camera along.
I can tell you that Jon didn't have both hands on the wheel the full time. That was, I'm sure, the reason for his reluctance to climb down from the cab immediately upon arrival from the road test. ![]() |

I'll bet Jon had plenty to do in that cab. He was obviously in a heightened state so to speak. ![]()

What you won't need is any of that horsepower improvement junque that they want to sell you on eBay to boost hp. I haul my ( 12,000 pound rated ) float with Carrier or 15cwt aboard at 125km/hr all day long - just like they wern't even there. Get a heavy trailer ( mine is a JD from in Flamboro, Ont.) with electric brakes on both axels. My brake controller is the lowest optioned Tekonsha Voyager - it does not have fancy options - but it installs easily ( plugs into the GM harness ) and is easy to operate. I use a 2 5/16 inch ball receiver hitch with a drawtite weight distributing hitch. Again - I never feel the trailer behind me. Stewart |

![]() BTW, there's what's left of a bottle of gin (Skag drank the rest of it) in the freezer, and tonic on the fridge door. Help yourself. ![]() And yes, Skag DID have trouble levering himself out of the cab after that drive. Something about waiting a few minutes until he had more clearance under the steering wheel... ![]()

With feet and feet of snow all over Canada year round, even in summer, why would you want your Gin in the freezer and the Tonic in the fridge? At least we put our beer in the fridge because it get's hot and we need an excuse to cool down. Are Canuck's so hot blooded that they need a Gin Ice Block or two before they can get out and make snow angels? Crikey, warm yourselves up with two spoonfuls of Vegemite in a mug of boiling water.

The net seems awfully sluggish today, perhaps collateral effects from Hurricane Ivan...so I hope this punches through. Thanks for your comment. Yes, memory lane trip all right. In addition to the test drive, we unloaded the truck about 3 miles from my place, then drove it into my driveway. Wife had a bemused smile on her face. ![]() Sunray rode with me, standing in the hatch. He commented that my gear shifting was quite smooth. Some things I guess you never forget.
