Henry Ross helped design the Southern Cross flag.All state buildings will fly the flag he "DESIGNED" to rally his fellow rebels against British Imperialissm"Hundreds of "DIGGERS" had come from all over the world,many former 49'ers still seeking riches after the California gold rush-gathered at Eureka goldfield near Melborne and vowed to strike a blow for representative government.Ross designed a blue & white flag inspired by the four star constellation in the Aussie night sky & which remains part of the country's official flag today.

Not only do we in CANADA let them have OUR CMP's,but we had to design their flag,and give them the nickname "DIGGERS" as in gold rush terminoligy.
