It is an A.E.C. produced Armoured Command Vehicle . There used to be a reasonable example in the yard of Pounds , but after Bovington didn`t want it it went to Kent , and the almost complete interior was put on fire by vandals . So what is happening with it I don`t know .

Yes, I remember seeing this back in 1985 at Pounds' Yard. Opening the rear door to me seemed like entering a time machine: all sort of radio tables and chairs, webbing straps etc. were still there.
As far as I know Rex Cadman still has it, he told me about the interior being burned by vandals - what a shame!

Check out the markings: Looks like HQ 4th or 5th Armoured Div Sigs.

Could you just imagine driving that beast: no power steering and even less visibility!
