Default AEC Marshall(?) 6x4 tanker

You know the one - it's in the Airfix 'refuelling set'.

I'm looking for some information about it - chassis and body details, service photos, colour schemes etc. There were some based on my local airfield during WWII and I fancy building one.

Can someone point me in the direction of some sources for the above please? (either online or hard copy, don't mind which).

Cheers,
John

John,

Classic Military Vehicle magazine issue number 39 / August 2004 features an article on the AEC Matador O854 re-fuelling tanker which might be of interest to you.

Regards,
Hanno

Default AEC Tankers

Hanno,

Many thanks.

I don't buy that the magazine normally, but I know a man who does!

Cheers,
John
