Hi there
No, we did not use the AEC. It was used in the heavy troops of British Armoured Car Regiments. The Royal Canadian Dragoons used M3 White Halftracked 75mm SP. The 12 Manitoba Dragoons used the Staghound fitted with a 75mm turret patterned on the Crusader tank turret. Steve

I have a scan of an RCD HT in Italy. They were issued to the heavy troop due to the fact that the Birts didn't want them really. We used them to good effect and the war diary speaks fairly well of a rather ungainly vehicle.
If I could figure out how to post a pic here I would..... dingwall@magma.ca HTH Don |

Service Publications has just announced publication of "The Halftrack in Canadian Service". This is the third title in the "Weapons of War" series which addresses individual vehicles from a Canadian perspective.
