Default The ultimate S.E.G?

OK, you people asked for it - here is my best s*@t eating grin - a self-portrait taken at Temora in the Hudson turret. What fun!

I took turns at most of the on-board jobs - air gunner (I gave some sheep a bit of a scare), W/op, bomb aimer and even a burst as co-pilot - the captain went in and did a strafing run for me at low level.

There will be lots more pictures to share if you can stand it.

Default Somewhere to sit

How about the navigator's seat?

Or the co-pilot's

Or the pilot's seat

And many more here.

Hey, that Navigator's Seat is nifty with that big table in front. You could sit and do the crossword with the Sydney Morning Herald spread out in front of you and still have space for the meals brought to you by the Cabin Staff. Better service than Qantas!

You lucky bugger.

When I see the navigators seat in a photo like that or any other interior photos of those WW2 bombers I have nothing but admiration for those who crewed them during combat missions and had to put up with the cramped positions they occupied.

cheers
Cliff
