Hello Luc
Research is the way to go. There are some good Canadian references that you should try to get. 1. Dressed to Kill, M. Dorosh. (uniforms and some material on badges and insignia.) Michael also runs the Canuck site and an associated forum. 2. Distinquishing Patches, C. Law (Formation patches of the Canadian army.) 3. Canada's Army in World War II. F. Tripp (Canadian army cap badges and sketch history of the units.) Try Service Publications for the first title. http://www.servicepub.com/ The others may be out of print, but try abebooks for copies. On line there is a wealth of information on the Canuck site. Everything from organization, orbats, tactics to badges and insignia. http://www.canadiansoldiers.com/ Another information forum, directed at CEF material is http://www.kingandempire.com/collectors_forum.html. There are lots more but this is a good start. |
