Hi Brad This is a scan of an original 4th Armourd Div formation decal. The maple leaf colour is best described as a combination of yellow and gold. When I painted my marking I just used Tremclad yellow on a white background.

Hey Brad, J.B.'s answer was spot on about the colour of the Maple Leaf on WW II M.V.'s. I searched long and hard for a colour close to the original and found that "Summer Squash" by American Accents. was as close to original as I was ever going to find. It's a good mix of yellow and gold. American Accents is made by Rust-Oleum so should be available in your area. Good luck! CHIMO!
