You'll notice he's trying to rotate the vehicle to take off, but the stovebolt 6 just doesn't have the oomph to make the truck leave the earth. Of course there is a pic in the archives of an early FGT which is completely airborne and is making a high speed low pass along the flight line. There's nothing quite like a V8!

Obviously, the secret to this un-Chev like display lies in the fact that engine cover is sitting in the rear tray (Did it stay there for long?) allowing Aaron to make adjustments to the distributor timing as he went, gaining power that is normally only found on the latest Variable Valve Timing engines. This cool display of nerves and divided attention is a credit to Aaron, but could not be replicated in a Ford without a triple jointed arm and a willingness to lose a few knuckles in the fan. Thank goodness this is not necessary in a Ford!

Must have been very unsettling to have the ground drop away under the truck like that. We all know Chevs wouldn't be able to get airborn without a CH53 attached so I conclude it must be an earthquake or sink hole.

Arron I hope you didn't use up all the Nitros Oxide for that Photo prior to have the Chev motor blueprinted and balanced. The sprintex supercharger has helped I see.

Yes those were the days when a suggestion brought out a big grin on Aarons dail; next thing you now the Chevs being launched skyward or its drifting down the river. Now days Aaron seems to be missing at the runs we think that he picked up an anchor some where along the way.
