From today's newspaper:
"A man is recovering in hospital after accidentally shooting himself while fighting off a snake. Ambulance officers were called to a property near Bowral, NSW, about 9am yesterday to find the 52 year old man with pellets lodged in his groin, thigh, calves and feet. A Police spokesman said the man was trying to shoot the snake when the pellets ricocheted in the confined area and injured him. He is in a stable condition in Bowral Hospital. He is not being treated for snakebite." Thank goodness the snake never got him, who'd suck out the poison? |

Tony - you left out the most important part of the story what happened to the snake? If the hunting gods are paying attention the snake was not only harmless but slithered away un-harmed.
