A few locals put on a small display at the Ceremony here in Newcastle.
Hopefully some pics attached. First a bit of info. This a Commonwealth Forces Day, so has international flavour, hence the Maple Leaf Flag. Col.

We had a contingent from Toronto Canada on Parade. They liked the C15A.
Seemed fairly normal blokes with a fag and a Tooheys New each.

This wasn't a battle, it was a remembrance service a beer and a gabfest.
The emblem on the right tunic pocket interested me, a Maple leaf on crossed swords. I am not well up on Canadian uniform code etc. Col.

I was referring to proper WW2 Canadian Battledress such as I now wear the odd time I'm still on parade, not the current paint-by-numbers suit! Do you by chance remember their regiment(s)? I can't see their shoulder titles in your photo... Jif
