Hey Alex,
Appologies for not responding sooner. There are major differences between Aussie models and Canadian / British models. They are streets apart. Even the engines aren't the same. Ours are ALL 95 horses. Australian carriers are mostly constructed with local ideas and available hardware. I wonder if this is why it was easier for our guys to weld rather than rivet our hulls. The basic principle is the same. even the layout is the same, and that's about where the similarity ends. So in answer to your question, very different. Pedr |

There are some parts that are interchangeable, but the problem is that English use BSF and BSW threads while Aussie used UNF and UNC. While many parts do fit, the associated threads need to be checked!
for example: We often use english spring rods (and whitworth nuts) simply because they are available. Incidentally, I noticed that the only High Tensile bolts specified in the Aussie parts book are the mounting bolts for the rear bogie bracket-to-hull. Rob LP2 NZ MG |
