M101 Restoration Dilemma

A question for the group (and I have cross-posted this in other forums, so sorry if you got it more than once).
I recently purchased and Iltis (I love this thing) with an M101CDN2 Trailer. The Iltis is Mint but but the trailer needs some body work. OK, here is my dilemma. I'd like to do up my trailer with markings to match my Iltis, but the Trailer is quite unique in that is has Military Police Markings, including the white stripe across the back with "Military Police", and the tactical markings for 2 MP Platoon (out of CFB Petawawa). I'm not sure if I'm up to doing the body work myself and am wondering if I should look for someone who wants an "MP" trailer, maybe to match their MP Iltis and use the money to buy one in better shape for me. Many of the M101's out there were unissued so have no markings, but the MV purist in me feels bad about wiping out something rather unique. Any feedback is appreciated.

A good question you have here, and I'm sure you'll get some feedback. One way of looking at things is that there may be a limited number of "M.P." Iltis' out there, so the market for your trailer may be so limited, making it a moot point; the other is that later on, they could always duplicate your markings if you were to photograph them and store them away.

While you're musing this, would you mind giving us a name please? It is the convention here at MLU to avoid anonymity as it shows distrust of this closed and closed community. You go to user cp > User Profile > Custom User text and enter it there; it will appear under your handle up top.
