Was wondering if anyone out there has or is planning on bringing a shipping container from England to Canada in the near future?
Perhaps someone may be waiting to consolidate a load to share shipping expenses? Would require a trustworthy source on the UK end to arrange staging/loading and proper documentation for export to Canada. Toronto area? |

Chris,I'm in the ocean shipping business here in Montreal. At noon over at the local pub I asked a freight forwarder buddy about your request. His UK office handles mixed cargo consolidations to various points in Canada. In order to properly safeguard your cargo, together with proper import documentation for Canada Customs purposes, your best bet is to go thru a forwarder.Try my buddies company your side called GEO Logistics.Ask for the ocean export dept,& refer to consolidations.
Best of luck & Merry Xmas |

I spent years trying to get a freight company to send my pile of trailers from Scotland to Sean in the NWT.
When I gave up on my usual company, I went down to the local freight docks and found a company in 15 minutes that would get them to Calgary as part of a consolidated container shipment for a reasonable fee. Just ring your local container specialists and let it get sent with anything else that's headed that way - apparently my local company sends one container every couple of weeks. Gordon
