Default Track Color Question

What is the color of the tracks on a carrier? Are they plain unpainted iron a metalic grey color, or same color as the carrier till the paint is wore off?

On NOS tracks there is a black storage stuf on it (not realy paint)

i would have them metalic then weather them with a smidge of rust obviously the ribs that strike the road would be scrubbed clean
